Dinner Lady vs. Juice Head – Which Wins the Taste Test?

The vaping world is filled with countless e-liquid brands all claiming to offer the best flavors and vaping experience. Two of the most popular brands right now are Dinner Lady and Juice Head. They both offer a wide range of dessert, fruit, and candy e-liquid flavors. But how do they actually compare when put head to head in a taste test? I decided to find out which one is better, Dinner Lady vs. Juice Head.

I purchased 6 different flavors from Dinner Lady and Juice Head – 3 from each brand. I chose some of the top seller flavors that had similar flavor profiles between the two brands. The goal was to compare apples to apples as much as possible.

From Dinner Lady I selected:

  • Lemon Tart: A sweet and tangy lemon custard tart flavor
  • Rice Pudding: Creamy rice pudding with hints of cinnamon
  • Orange Tart: Sweet orange flavor paired with a creamy custard tart

And from Juice Head I went with:

– Pineapple Grapefruit: Juicy pineapple and grapefruit blend
– Blueberry Lemon: Sweet blueberries and tart lemon
– Peach Pear: Sweet juicy peaches and pears

I used the same sub ohm tank and device setup for testing each flavor to keep things consistent. I cleaned and re-wicked the coils before switching between each e-liquid. I avoided any other strong flavors like coffee or brushing my teeth directly before tasting. My goal was to experience each flavor accurately without any external influences.

I tested them by taking 2-3 puffs of each and allowing the flavor to settle on my palate before exhaling and writing down flavor notes. I scored each liquid on a scale of 1-10 on sweetness, tartness, overall fruit flavor accuracy, creaminess, and throat hit smoothness. Here is how the battle played out flavor by flavor:

Lemon Tart vs. Blueberry Lemon

Lemon Tart vs. Blueberry Lemon

Right off the bat with the first inhale I could tell the Dinner Lady lemon tart was going to be hard to beat. It has an extremely accurate lemon flavor – that perfect balance between sweet and sour. The creamy custard balances beautifully with the bright lemon.

The Juice Head Blueberry Lemon is no slouch though. It has an authentic fresh squeezed lemonade type of flavor with added sweetness from the blueberries. It’s a bit more tangy and less rich than the Dinner Lady, but still very enjoyable.

In the end the complexity and accuracy of the Dinner Lady Lemon Tart won out over the Blueberry Lemon. Dinner Lady took round one.

Rice Pudding vs. Peach Pear

Rice pudding flavors can either be delicious or taste extremely artificial, with very little in between. I was pleased that the Dinner Lady Rice Pudding tasted like a super creamy authentic rice pudding. Hints of cinnamon spice things up without overpowering the creamy rice flavor.

The Juice Head Peach Pear starts off with sweet, fuzzy peach flavor on the inhale and transitions to the crisp pear on the exhale. It’s a nice fruity vape all around. However, while it tastes fine, it wasn’t nearly as accurate or complex as the Dinner Lady Rice Pudding.

The Rice Pudding took this round decisively. Dinner Lady 2, Juice Head 0.

Orange Tart vs. Pineapple Grapefruit

Juice Head came out swinging in this round with their Pineapple Grapefruit. It nails that sweet and tart tropical flavor. You get the juicy pineapple on the inhale and then the mouthwatering grapefruit takes over on the exhale for the perfect sweet and sour medley.

Dinner Lady’s Orange Tart tastes great with the citrusy orange and vanilla custard combination, but it lacks that authentic fresh orange zestiness that the Pineapple Grapefruit delivers. This one goes to Juice Head.

Through 3 rounds Dinner Lady still has the lead 2-1. But can Juice Head mount a comeback? Let’s find out!

Overall Flavor Impressions

When tasting all 6 flavors side by side a few key differences between the two brands stand out:

Complexity – The Dinner Lady flavors seem more complex with multiple flavor layers that transition as you vape. Juice Head flavors tend to be simpler with the main flavors front and center.

Accuracy – Across the board Dinner Lady nailed flavor accuracy, especially the fruit and cream flavors. Some Juice Head flavors had slightly off or artificial flavors.

Sweetness – Juice Head flavors are sweeter overall while Dinner Lady balances sweet with tartness. Which you prefer depends on your taste preference.

After tallying up all the scores here is how each brand fared overall:

Dinner Lady: 9/10 Sweetness, 8/10 Tartness, 10/10 Fruit Accuracy, 10/10 Creaminess

Juice Head: 10/10 Sweetness, 7/10 Tartness, 7/10 Fruit Accuracy, 5/10 Creaminess

And the Winner Is…

While it was close, when adding up all the scores Dinner Lady comes out on top winning 3 out of the 4 rounds. Their flavors are more layered and accurate overall, especially when it comes to complex flavors like cream and custard.

However, Juice Head still makes some truly delicious flavors including that perfectly refreshing Pineapple Grapefruit. So at the end of the day vapers can’t go wrong with either brand.

It ultimately comes down to your specific flavor preference. If you love rich and creamy dessert flavors, Dinner Lady is hard to top. But Juice Head excels with their candy-like fruit flavors. Luckily you can try out both brands fairly affordably to decide which you enjoy more! I sincerely hope you find this “Dinner Lady vs. Juice Head – Which Wins the Taste Test?” article helpful.
